Reiju

The founder of Reiki, Mikao Usui, developed Reiju to transmit the healing ability to others; the capacity to relay pure Reiki energy.  Reiju is known in the West as attunement, or initiation.

Mikao Usui formed an association known as the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai, which was a treatment clinic and teaching school.  Reiju was the term used by Usui sensei for the opening of the Reiki energy pathway, or initiation, or attunement, as it is known in the West.  Usui sensei gave Reiju to Kanichi Taketomi, who became the 3rd President of the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai.  Kanichi Taketomi gave Reiju to Kimiko Koyama, who became the 6th President of the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai.  Kimiko Koyama gave Reiju to Hiroshi Doi, the founder of Gendai Reiki Ho.

Hiroshi Doi Sensei was invited to become a member of the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai in 1993, and as a member, Doi Sensei regularly receives Reiju from Shihan members.

Reiju opens a Reiki pathway for the beginner; it is also used as a technique to enhance the flow of Reiki energy for those who have already been initiated.

Ways in which you can amplify Reiki energy

Mikao Usui recommended the following methods to amplify your Reiki energy levels:

Reiju is very effective in amplifying the flow of Reiki energy.  Usui sensei recommended students to receive Reiju regularly.  We follow the example he set for us, and Reiju sessions are offered regularly.

Please see ‘Dates for your Diary’ for opportunities to attend classes once more, and to receive the benefits of Reiju.
